杰斯敏·沃德的“荒木镇三部曲”通过书写飓风、环境污染、警察暴力与家庭裂解等相互交织的母题，建构出一个不稳定、破碎且长期受制度性暴力笼罩的美国南方空间。在这一叙事中，以卡特里娜飓风为典型的灾难不再被视为偶发的例外事件，而是被纳入非裔美国人日常生活的经验结构之中，突发危机由此显露为嵌入黑人日常的结构性存在。在此基础上，作品对“新南方”作为非裔群体回迁之地的进步叙事加以解构。通过节奏舒缓而细腻的书写方式，沃德将美国南方重塑为种族暴力与环境暴力相互缠绕、潜在风险持续生成的复合空间，其中危机呈现出日常化、频发化与必然化特征，并凸显环境与种族双重压迫之间的内在关联。“荒木镇三部曲”为理解黑人迁移、空间政治与社会结构之间的复杂关系提供了重要的文学视角。

Jesmyn Ward's Bois Sauvage Trilogy constructs an unstable, fragmented U.S. Southern space long overshadowed by systemic violence through its interwoven depictions of hurricanes, environmental pollution, police brutality,and family disintegration. In this narrative, disasters epitomized by Hurricane Katrina are no longer treated as contingent exceptions, but are instead absorbed into the experiential structure of African American daily life, revealing sudden crises as a structural condition embedded in Black ordinariness. On this basis, the trilogy deconstructs the progressive narrative of the “New South” as a site of return and redemption for Black communities. Through a slow-paced, finely wrought prose, Ward reimagines the American South as a composite space where racial and environmental violence intertwine and latent risks proliferate. Here, crisis assumes an ordinary, recurrent, and seemingly inevitable character, foregrounding the intrinsic entanglement of environmental and racial oppression. The Bois Sauvage Trilogy offers a vital literary lens for understanding the complex interrelations among Black migration, spatial politics, and social structure.
